We sympathetically renovated and extended this large character cottage in the heart of Rocklands, a beautiful Norfolk village. The cottage was previously in very poor condition inside and out. The steel sheeting to the roof was rusting away, and the existing timber frame and roof needed structural improvements, not to mention that the interior required complete refurbishment.

We started by stripping the entire building back to the bare structure and then repaired the frame and roof bringing integrity back to the cottage. We built a large kitchen and bedroom on the rear which also allowed a new staircase to be positioned in the core of the cottage. A new roof was constructed and covered with reclaimed clay pantiles. Once the new windows were fitted, we were then able to get started on completely replacing the interiors complete with underfloor heating and a new kitchen.

We are extremely proud of how the cottage has been given a new lease of life and it now sits proudly on the main street through the village.

The cottage was sold at the beginning of the year.
